A medical centre in a coastal location in central Burnie, Tasmania, is
looking for 3 full-time GPs to join their team!
The Position
Consulting hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm, Saturday Clinic
by appointment only.
You will be working nine sessions per week and share After
Hours requirements including Saturday work. Weekend on-call is minimal
as it is shared with another practice.
The Practice
The fully computerised clinic currently has 1 full time, 2 part time general
practitioners and 1 GP registrar and is offering three additional full
time positions. A Practice Manager and reception and nursing staff are
available for support.
This newly established mixed-billing practice offers both general practice
and occupational health services to the Burnie community. The practice
is fully computerised and offers a well-equipped 3-bay treatment room,
procedure room, five consult rooms and an occupational health room.
The Location
The medical centre is conveniently located in Burnie CBD. Located 150
km northwest of Launceston, Burnie is characterised by delightful wooden
houses which cling to the hills and overlook the bay. Today, Burnie has
a population of almost 19,000. You can visit the Burnie Park and animal
reserve, or Australia's biggest eucalypt tree farm. The Pioneer Village
Museum will provide you with a detailed account of the city's history,
while at Lactos Cheese Factory you can treat your palate to fine wine
and the 2006 World's Best Camembert.
